Free Lecture: Where Sheep Watch the Sea―A Shetland Adventure

Sponsored by The Trading Post & Susan Markle

While the Shetland Isles seem to be a small dot on the map surrounded by northern waters, they have long been a hub of activity, culture, and craftwork. Shetland's sheep and textile traditions continue to hold the interest of wool lovers around the globe. Join Kate as she shares a bit about her own journey to Shetland, the textiles she collected, and the knitting she has done inspired by the landscape and people she met. Kate will demonstrate the Shetland knitting belt she is learning to use, have fleeces for you to handle, and provide loads of sources for you to learn more and grow your own stash of Shetland wool and yarn.
