On Saturday, April 9th, 2015 we will close the series with Matuto’s rocking combination of Brazilian forro and American bluegrass. Their music creates an infectious and engaging rhythm, earning the group the well-deserved reputation as one of the most innovative groups in world music today. The songs sway hips and spark insights, and on stage, the instruments (accordion, guitar, bass, drums, cavaquinho, zabumba and triangle) whirl around the core of Matuto’s sound – an unlikely combination on paper, but on the dance floor, it feels just right.
